Michelle Obama said she still swoons over her husband and former President Barack Obama following his viral exchange with an admirer on the campaign trail for the latest election.

During a campaign stop in Newark, New Jersey, Barack Obama was stumping for Democratic gubernatorial candidate Mikie Sherrill when a fan interrupted his speech.

“I love you, but hold on. I heard you, girl—just settle down,” Obama said with his signature grin. “I’m here to talk to everybody, not just you. I mean, you look cute, but I am married, you know? And Michelle’s fine, too.”

The exchange quickly went viral on social media and caught the attention of the former first lady, who reacted to the incident on Today with Jenna & Friends.

"That’s my man. He’s a cutie, too," Michelle Obama said in response to the video.

“That’s the other part of being in your 60s—when your kids are launched, and it’s just us,” she continued. “Finally, we look back at each other and go, ‘Oh, I love you. I remember you. There you are!’”

Michelle also confirmed that her husband’s charm still works on her.

“Oh my gosh, he is handsome. He gets more handsome with age,” she said. “The graying is good on him.”

During her appearance on Today with Jenna & Friends, Michelle also promoted her new book, "The Look," which reflects on her style evolution in the White House and the scrutiny that came with it. The author shared that Barack Obama's constant affirmations helped her feel grounded and beautiful despite public criticism.

“As I’d open the door, I’d see his eyes light up. He’d tell me I looked beautiful. I believed him every time,” she wrote.
