Former Vice President Kamala Harris delivered a sharp response when more protestors crashed the Chicago stop of her book tour.
On Saturday (October 11), Harris was speaking to a packed audience about her new memoir, "107 Days," when pro-Palestinian protesters interrupted the event and accused her of supporting genocide.
“You are a killer, Kamala. You support genocide," one protestor repeatedly yelled, labeling the former vice president as "Killer Kamala."
Security quickly escorted the individual out.
On Saturday, another protester stood up and interrupted Harris while she was speaking about press freedom.
“What about the press you let die in Gaza, Kamala? You sent $20 billion to fund the genocide," the protestor shouted, referencing the Biden administration’s controversial $20 billion arms sale to Israel in 2024, which included advanced weaponry used in the Gaza conflict.
In response, Harris urged the protestors to turn their attention to the Trump administration.
“If you want to talk about legacy, let’s talk about the legacy of mass deportation, of people not voting, and Donald Trump," she said.
Harris’ book events have repeatedly drawn protests from activists outraged by her alleged complicity with Israel's military campaign in Gaza. The U.S. Palestinian Community Network (USPCN) has organized several demonstrations across the former vice president's tour.
At a D.C. event last week, Harris shut down criticism, saying, “You know what? I am not president of the United States. You wanna go to the White House and talk to him, then go on and do that.”
