A website called "DEI Watch List" has named its list of "targets," which include federal workers within the Department of Health and Human Services who have been linked to diversity initiatives.
Amid the Trump administration's attack on DEI, a "watch list" has published information online about federal employees, mainly in the Department of Health and Human Services, who have committed "offenses" such as working on diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, using pronouns in their bios, and donating money to Democrats, per NBC News.
One federal worker said they found out that their name was on the website through a former co-worker who discovered the link.
“It’s unnerving,” the staffer said. “My name and my picture is there, and in 2025, it’s very simple to Google and look up someone’s home address and all kinds of things that potentially put me at risk.”
“I don’t know what the intention of the list is for,” they continued. “It’s just kind of a scary place to be.”
As of Tuesday (February 4), the website had shared photos and information about the employees under the headline "Targets." The listed employees were later deemed "Dossiers."
The "DEI Watch List" website states the list is "a project of the American Accountability Foundation,” which is a conservative watchdog group.
The unearthing of the website comes after the Trump administration ordered federal employees in DEI positions to be placed on leave. Federal workers also reportedly received emails threatening the consequences of not reporting DEI employees that may have gone undetected by the government.
